MLC ad success
THE Meat and Livestock Commissions latest advertising campaign for beef and lamb has boosted sales significantly, according to latest figures.
The ads, which star Harry Enfields Tim Nice-But-Dim character, pushed beef sales up by 8.1% compared to the same period in 1999 and lamb sales up by 5.8%.
The campaign is due to continue with a fresh round of the beef adverts on TV in February.
New point of sale material will also be going out to independent butchers highlighting a new recipe. *
