Monsanto sells optical products to BMC for $100m

MONSANTO is to sell its optical products division to BMC Industries for $100 million.

The US agribusiness, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology group is refocusing on higher value-added products such as drugs and genetically-engineered crops.
