MPs’ doubts on hunt probe
MPs have called on the Home Secretary to revise membership of the committee of inquiry into foxhunting.
An all-party group of 32 have signed a House of Commons motion urging Jack Straw to include individuals on the inquiry who have experience in “wildlife ecology and wild animal welfare”.
The motion expresses concern about the alleged links of three members with hunting, and says that Straw must ensure the committee is “genuinely independent and impartial”.
