Multi-purpose GPScontroller
Multi-purpose GPScontroller
LH AGRO, based at St Ives, Cambs has introduced a multi-purpose GPS control unit designed for variable application spreading, drilling and spraying.
Intended as an interchangeable control unit, the LH 5000 Multi Implement Controller is claimed to be suitable for nearly all makes of drills and fertiliser spreaders and any make of conventional air-assisted sprayer.
The unit is designed to vary application rates according to information received from the firms Data Link card reader box or, alternatively, from the new LH 665 yield meter.
Replacing the LH 565, the LH 665 eliminates the need for a transfer box by directly providing all relevant information such as field measuring, soil sampling and variable application data.
Its key feature, says LH Agro, is its ability to be taken out of the combine after harvest and then linked up to the LH 5000 to display yield maps before drilling and spreading operations. Basic price of the LH 5000 is from £1425, plus kits for spraying, drilling and spreading, while the LH 665 yield meter/data link is £3650.
