Natural feed block

A CEREAL based feed block for beef cattle and sheep that includes only natural products can supply animals with their daily magnesium and readily available energy, claims developer Peter Burton.

The Burton Block is made in a size said to be easy to handle and has edible cardboard packaging.

Spreading the blocks around the pasture allows even the shiest of animals the chance to use the blocks, he says. He suggests allowing one block for each 20 head of cattle or 20 sheep in the field.

Each 14kg block costs £8.40 (01256-356686).
