New pair of Kuhn diet feeders

THIS autumn will see two new diet feeders being added to Kuhn Farm Machinerys range – a larger capacity single vertical auger Euromix machine and the companys first self-propelled silage cutter and mixer wagon.

The SP14 self-propelled unit is powered by a 157hp engine driving through a two-speed hydrostatic transmission to provide infinitely variable work speeds from 0-8mph and road speeds of up to 30mph.

A 2m wide forage cutter – capable of working at a height of 5.5m – also has the capacity to load 3t/min of maize, says Kuhn. An automatic spreader arm within the hopper assists with the speed of loading.

Mixing within the 14cu m hopper is achieved through use of twin augers, with electronic control allowing the relative acceleration and deceleration of individual augers. Emptying of mixed feed is said to take less than three minutes.

The new 14cu m Euromix I 1560 joins Kuhns existing Euromix models and employs a similar single auger mixing system which, it is claimed, can handle all types of forage including big bales.

Feed out to the left or right of the machine is via a horizontal distribution conveyor. &#42
