NFU puts up alternative to OTMS cuts
THE NFU has suggested a fairer way of cutting OTMS payments after the Government imposed reductions last week.
Speaking today, president Sir David Naish said: “The only realistic alternative is for the Government to pay for every kilogram entering the OTMS at a lower payment rate.”
Before the Government cuts were imposed, Sir David had pleaded with the Government to delay their introduction until the union had come up with a fairer way of spreading them.
