NOAH no to OP link

ANIMAL health trade body NOAH has dismissed links between organophosphate insecticides and BSE.

In written evidence to the BSE Inquiry, NOAH stated that there was no epidemiological evidence to link the use of OP warble fly treatments and the emergence of BSE in the UK and Europe.

NOAHs director Roger Cook said: "There is, in our experience, no single use of OPs which is unique to the UK."

And he questioned why the BSE crisis had occurred only in the UK and not in other countries when OPs had been used around the world for 40 years. &#42
