Non-fishmeal feeds for healthy sheep

DUGDALE Nutrition has added two sheep feeds to its range this winter: Healthy Sheep for indoor production and Ewenique for indoor and outdoor production.

Instead of fishmeal, both feeds contain AminOgreen, which is a blend of high-quality vegetable proteins shown to support lamb birthweights and milk yield comparable with fishmeal, says the company. The bulk feeds are fed from eight weeks before lambing on a sliding scale of 0.2kg to 0.9kg. Healthy Sheep costs £7 a ewe and Ewenique £5 a ewe for this pre-lambing period (01200-420200, fax 01200-428975).
