NZ ag envoy sets out agenda

MALCOLM Bailey, New Zealands special agricultural trade envoy, has set out his agenda for the forthcoming round of World Trade Organisation (WTO) talks.

He warned that growing concern about biotechnology could overshadow the talks which are due to start in Seattle at the end of November.

But he said he was anxious to see progress made in eliminating export subsidies and improving market access.
