‘Overgrazing puts Snowdonia in crisis’

OVERGRAZING by sheep is largely responsible for the ecological crisis in Snowdonia, says The Guardian today.

The paper says that overgrazing on Snowdonias 1610 ha (4000 acres) has ruined the landscape.

A substantial estate around Snowdonia has been bought by the National Trust.

The report voices concern that the trust has no plans to reduce sheep numbers.
