A MORE cost effective and efficient alternative to mechanical seals is how BSL describes its latest John Crane 4610 single cartridge seal.

Designed for heavy duty pump applications, the seal is claimed to provide a reliable solution to overcoming wasteful leakage and time consuming maintenance problems.

The 4610 range is available in 24mm to 70mm diameters and can withstand operating temperatures up to 130C and fluid pressures up to 11 bar, claims BSL.

In addition, the company says pumps fitted with the 4610 seal can be run at speeds up to 3600rpm without any affect on operating performance.
