AN OUTSTANDING son of stock sire Columbjohn Drake stood champion and sold for the days top price of 3750gns at the British Limousin Cattle Societys evening show and sale at Portadown.
Erne Linford, from Raymond Crawford, Maguiresbridge, was a convincing winner of the supreme title under judge Tom OBrien (Newry). Bred out of a Bedell Maurice cow, he was bought by R Cupples and J Reid, Co Antrim.
There were Royal Show champions in plenty behind the breeding of Kilmaconnell Matador from Coleraine breeder William Crowe. This son of Shire Gavin has a Beef Value of +38 and made 3350gns to Mr Law, Co Fermanagh.
Other bids included Conshill Masterpiece (3200gns), Bernish Michigan (3100gns) and Shilnavogie Larry (2550gns). (Automart)n
