Pottinger NovaDisc mowers
Pottinger was just one of a number of manufacturers displaying straight mowers, without conditioners.
According to the firm this is the cheapest way to knock down large areas of grass in a short time. With no conditioner to drive, less power is required and where tedding is favoured, the necessity of a conditioner is questionable.
The NovaDisc 730 is mounted on the rear of the tractor in a butterfly formation – which requires a front mounted unit to complete the setup – and is made up of two 2.6m (8ft 6’’) disc mowers.
The NovaDisc 730 costs £14,825 and the larger 900 model – with two 3m (10ft) mowers – costs £18,610.
