Power station wins contract to burn cattle
A POWER station has won a contract to generate electricity from the remains of millions of cattle slaughtered under the programme of measures to eradicate “mad cow” disease.
Fibrogen, which runs the plant near Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, hopes to switch to the meat and bonemeal fuel by the middle of next year.
