Press fills plough/drill gap
FILLING the gap between plough and cultivator/drill is KRMs latest Optipress in rigid and folding format. At the front, furrows are initially broken by two rows of rigid tines which can be varied in height and pitch.
After the tines, follows a wide plated levelling board – with angle adjustment controlled by a hydraulic ram.
Overall angle of attack across the whole implement is provided by a hydraulically adjustable drawbar.
Completing the sequence, are two rows of intermeshing 75cm wide press rings. To prevent blockage, the rings feature a 45deg plate dish design with the rear set cleaned by soil scrapers.
All the discs are attached to a shaft to provide uniform rotation which reduces individual wear on them.
The Optipress folds in two sections to a 3m transport width and is carried on two high speed rated 385/65 tyres.
Prices for a 4m rigid and 6m folding are £28,000 and £29,000 respectively.
