Public ‘unaware’ of agricultural medicine
ANIMAL medicines do not get the credit for producing healthy food, claims Philip Lowndes, new chairman of the National Office of Animal Health (NOAH).
Mr Lowndes, who is also chief executive of Novartis Animal Health, claims environmental lobby groups win over public opinion with “emotional” arguments.
NOAH is also critical of the animal medicines sections of the recent report by the House of Commons Food Standards Committee.
