Rare meat threat to unborn

RARE meat could pose a health risk to unborn children, conclude findings published in the British Medical Journal and reported by the Daily Telegraph.

Under-cooked meat is the single biggest factor in pregnancy for toxoplasmosis, according to a Europe-wide study.

Stronger warnings urging pregnant women to avoid cured meat and rare steaks could now be issued, the Telegraph reports.
