RAU-built kverneland sprayers for UK in 2002

KVERNELAND branded self-propelled sprayers built by RAU are due to appear on the UK market next year.

The IBIS range includes models with 2000-litre, 2500-litre and 3000-litre tank capacities with boom widths ranging from 18m to 24m.

Output for the two smaller models is provided by 150hp Perkins engines, with the larger, flagship model rated at 180hp.

Drive is supplied through a hydrostatic transmission equipped with Poclain wheel motors.

The sprayers can be operated in two, four and crab steering modes and track widths are hydraulically adjustable with the machine in the stationary position.

An important feature of the sprayers, says Kverneland, is their headland management system which automatically raises the boom and engages four wheel steer when a foot pedal is depressed.

For spraying on undulating ground, the IBIS range features self-levelling frames at the front and rear which are operated automatically by hydraulic rams.

Further specification includes a hydraulically adjustable chemical inductor and a Flow Master computer which allows application rates of up to 400 litres/ha. &#42
