Redesigned tank gives better outlook for Househam sprayer
VISIBILITY to the rear has been improved on the latest version of the Househam Super Sprint self-propelled sprayer through a redesign of the main tank.
Because the new tank is wider than its predecessor, the overall height has been reduced without losing capacity, allowing a better view through the rear window.
The new tank shape also helps improve the sprayers stability, claims Househam, giving a lower centre of gravity when the tank is full.
Also new on the latest Super Sprint is a piggy-back style clean water tank holding 240 litres for washing. Plumbing on the new version has been updated in line with other models in the Househam range, and the result is said to be more consistent pressure control and a faster response to alterations in section control.
External controls have been simplied, replacing the individual valve controls by a single switch with three positions to cover tank filling, induction and spraying modes.
lA diversion for Househam is to offer its self-propelled sprayers under a contract hire scheme with fixed rate monthly payments covering a four-year term. Monthly hire payments also include all servicing and maintenance costs as well as regular checks under the AEA sprayer test scheme. Advantages claimed for the hire scheme include an easier method of financing a new sprayer, and bringing most of the maintenance charges in the fixed monthly payments makes is easier for farmers and contractors to forecast their costs. *
