Rustlers steal 80 sheep from croft in Scottish Highlands

Brazen thieves in the Scottish Highlands have raided a croft and stolen 80 sheep worth a total of £4,400.
Donnie Black said he only realised the sheep were missing when he went to check his flock last weekend in the Nethy Bridge area.
The sheep, which are of various breeds, were stolen sometime between 31 August and 24 November.

They have identification chips in their ear tags, some of which are marked with the number UK548348.
It is believed the sheep were taken on multiple occasions over the three-month period.
Police Scotland’s investigating officer, said: “We appreciate that this is a considerable time period but we are asking people to think back and report any activity in the area which could be considered suspicious to us. Also to report any suspicious activity including unfamiliar vehicles with animal trailers in the area.
“We would be particularly interested in any activity involving unfamiliar vehicles with animal trailers in the area.
