WEED-KILLING strategies are unlikely to change much at Lincomb this autumn, says Mrs Twining. Diflufenican/ipu mixtures will be the cereal mainstay.

In the absence of blackgrass the new sulfonylurea herbicide, Lexus Class is not an option, she says. "I may use it elsewhere especially where I know I have resistant blackgrass. But it is quite expensive compared with ipu."
