ULTRASOUND scanning early in pregnancy does not increase the rate of foetal loss, according to a paper in Vet Record, Mar 15, 1997. Bob Ward and his colleagues also found that, although the results were not significant, maiden heifers and younger cows tended to have fewer foetal losses than older cows.n
