Scots give French meat green light
SCOTLANDS chief medical officer passed French meat as fit for human consumption last night.
Professor Sir David Carter had been asked by ministers for his own assessment after English scientists said that French meat imports was safe to eat.
This was despite the findings of a Brussels report revealing widespread livestock were given feed containing human sewage.
Sir David studied advice from three farming and medical committees and decided the meat was safe to eat.
