Side tipping lets grain drier work in low buildings

LATEST version of the Farrell Trayler Drier is able to discharge its load by tipping the trailer body sideways, which allows the drier to be used in low-ceilinged buildings.

Tipping height is just 4.3m (14ft 4in), significantly lower than that of a trailer being tipped conventionally. Grain exits the trailer through a full length flap which, when lowered hydraulically, also acts as an extension slide.

Side-tipping apart, the drier with its 15t capacity remains the same as before. Totally self-contained, hot air is produced from electricity generated by 10KVA 3-Phase generator and blown through a floor mounted plenum chamber.

At the same time, three vertical augers move in sequence to stir the grain as it dries. Price of the F 15 ST side-tipping drier is £35,950. &#42
