Skid-steer slots into range gap

THE UK farming industry is demanding sleeker skid-steer loaders with ample operating capacity, insists construction maker Belle Group.

To prove the point, the company has now added a new model – the 751 – to its range, bringing the number of different models to seven.

Built near Buxton in Derbys, Belle says the machine provides the link between its existing 415kg and 650kg capacity models. Vital statistics for the 751 include a 510kg operating capacity, 1.37m width on 27/10.5×15-8ply tyres and a 2.7m maximum reach.

Drive from a 31hp Yanmar three-cylinder diesel block is supplied to Belles Quadrastatic transmission which comprises four wheel motors.

Use of wheel motors rather than chain drive provides a generous 23cm ground clearance, while eliminating wearing parts and maintenance.

Unlike most skid-steers, boom and direction control is operated by two levers rather than a combination of pedals and levers.

Further features include hydraulic brakes and an implement carriage frame for carrying different makes of attachments.

Price of the 751 will be in the region of £15,000. &#42
