Slug chat promises a lively debate

By Tom Allen-Stevens

On Monday (1 October), internet chat rooms will cease to be solely the domain of lonely hearts and weird computer buffs.

Instead farmers will take centre stage as the first agricultural technical web chat in the UK goes live. And the topic? Slugs.

The ground-breaking event will be hosted by www.nomoreslugs.com, the website of manufacturer De Sangosse.

We hope growers view it as an opportunity to air their opinions and questions on slugs, says the companys marketing director Eric Gussin.

We are pleased that our contributing experts see the value in this interaction with farmers and look forward to a lively debate.

Joining the panel of experts are IACR Long Ashtons slug sleuth David Glen, ProCams David Ellerton, James Copeland from Lonza, and registration consultant Brian Poyntz.

Roll up your sleeves, get your fingers poised for some serious quick-fire questions. Kick off is at 6:00pm.
