SNP calls for rural support

SCOTLANDS local enterprise councils should invest more of their £450 million budget in rural infrastructure, according to John Swinney, the agricultural spokesman of the Scottish National Party (SNP).

He pledged the SNP to raising the profile of agriculture when the Scottish parliament convenes later this year.
