Soil heat monitor fits bill for growers

AN ability to measure the thermal conductivity and diffusivity of any medium in two minutes, is the claim for Labcells latest instrument.

A key use for the KD2 unit, says Labcell, is in the horticultural industry where it is necessary to measure soil heat transfer to determine plant growth.

Controlled by two buttons, readings are shown on an LCD display which are taken from a single needle probe.
