POWER tool specialist Ridgid now offers two electric soldering guns. The Compact will solder 6mm to 22mm diameter copper pipe and can handle 75% of soft soldering applications, according to Ridgid.

Supplied in a metal carry case with flux paste and soft solder, the Compact has been developed to minimise metal distortion.

For more varied applications, the Combi is designed for soft soldering 6mm to 54mm diameter pipe or silver brazing pipes up to 22mm.

Supplied with bar electrodes, flux paste and soft solder, the Combi costs £445 and the Compact £290. (01462-485335)
