South Devon nears a grand

THE South Devon breed societys summer fixture at Gloucester saw the young cow Roskymer Buttercup 163rd, a Roskymer Poldark daughter, achieve the top price of 950gns. She was consigned by Jeffrey Warhurst from his Ewelsfield herd at Banbury and was sold suckling a spring-born heifer calf by Edmeston Centurion 5th.

Buyer was Colin Price who runs a commercial herd at Welshpool. AVERAGES: eight cows and calves £782 and two served heifers £834. (Bruton Knowles).n
