Spanish disaster land to become permanent green belt

THOUSANDS of acres of farmland destroyed in the Spanish toxic sludge disasterlast month are to become a permanent green belt.

The sludge flooded out of a breached dam at an iron ore mine near Seville, destroying large tracts of the Donana National Park.
