Spreader operators get greater control

AMAZONE has developed a hyd-raulically-driven fertiliser spreader which uses electronic shutter control to allow part-width spreading.

Suitable for Amazone ZA-M maxiS and ZA-M profiS spreaders, the Hydro is designed to provide the operator with more control when spreading fertiliser on headlands and field boundaries.

Amazone claims that it is possible to vary the disc speed using electronically operated hydraulics, allowing spreading settings to be selected form the cab.

The Hydro is operated by Amazones AMASET controller which can be programmed for headland spreading to accept both side broadcasting up to the bottom of hedgerows.

This, according to Amazone, is also useful when spreading on an unfertilised strip left around the field margin where open watercourses are present.

The AMASET controller also enables fine-tuning of disc speed in steps of 10rpm for both border and normal spreading which do not exceed 720rpm. The Hydro is priced from £6765. &#42

Part-width, boundary and normal spreading modes are possible with Amazones Hydro fertiliser spreader.
