Swedish ointment keeps udders OK
TWO new hygiene products developed in Sweden maintain good udder condition and treat chaps and wounds, says importer Nordic Star.
The udder ointment Lenisan is said to be beneficial to teats with chaps and wounds, while the Lenimint liniment, containing peppermint oil and camphor, claims to have a soothing effect on the udder without drying the skin.
The packs are designed to hang in the parlour and are fitted with a non-drip dispenser to prevent contamination, eliminate waste and deliver the correct dose.
A 5-litre pack of Lenisan costs about £40 and Lenimint about £50 for a 2.5-litre pack (01225-481477).
