System gives more kick in the clutch

LYNX Engineering has introduced an electronic clutch modulation device for use with its range of front pto systems.

Developed by Zuidberg Techniek, the PCD system regulates the time taken for the pto to fully engage by controlling hydraulic pressure to the clutch.

Control is from a dial inside the cab, which can be adjusted to allow the pto to be engaged from four to 14 seconds after a rocker switch has been pressed.

The result, says the company, is smoother take-up of loads, reducing stress on the tractor and implement.

Designed to fit tractors from 45hp to 285hp, the PCD system is priced from £2250. (01327-843215)
