The combination of the slope and the peaty patch of land on the lower side combined to flip the tanker – a tad of too much confidence from the young driver wasn’t ruled out though – he was told that flipping the tanker was almost impossible as it had such large and wide wheels fitted.
Most of the slurry was sucked out of the toppled unit using another tanker, but the last few gallons had to be drained out across the field.
Once it was empty, a small Manitou lifting and another tractor pulling sideways, was all that was needed to get it upright again.
The only damage was to one of its lights, the cover broke on the left-hand indicator.
