Tillage event debut for new Opico cultivators
OPICO is to launch a new range of cultivation kit at this years Tillage event, a range which includes subsoilers, cultivators, discs harrows, and Cambridge rolls
The 3.25m (11ft) Vari-Flow subsoiler features two rows of nine legs. With the first row fixed, the second can be hydraulically raised or lowered to alter shattering effect. For working in heavy trash conditions, the subsoiler sports a 73cm (28in) under-beam clearance.
The Vari-Disc disc harrow range comes in standard or heavy duty formats from 2.5m to 5m (8ft to 16ft) working widths. Each disc is angled at 21í and independently suspended for improved straw and vegetable crop residue incorporation.
Working in combination with the Vari-Disc, is the optional Vari-Tilth, designed to break up sub soil before the following disc harrow.
Mounted on the tractor three-point linkage, it is available in five-, six-, and seven-tine versions according to disc harrow width.
On the consolidation front, mounted Vari-Flex Cambridge rolls are available in 4.5m to 12.2m (15ft to 40ft) working widths.
Completing the new selection of kit is the 1.5m to 24m (5ft to 80ft) Comb harrow, a tillage version of the companys grassland harrow.
Using lightweight 6mm tines, the Combo is designed for breaking up capped soil, seed-bed preparation or for weeding. Tines, which can be angled to 10 settings through a central lever, are mounted on 1.5m independent free-floating frame sections. *
