SILVER-SHADE MB Saunders, with high mastitis resistance, has been released by Dairy Daughters and is featured in their newly launched spring range.

Saunders, a Bellwood Aerostar son, offers a mastitis resistance rating of -23%. Dairy Daughters believes that this is the number one bull for mastitis resistance. Both PLI and PIN values stand at £73, with +545kg milk, +19kg protein and +27.1kg fat.

His progeny are noted for ease of calving, good temperament and milking speed, says the company. He is also of particular interest to those conscious of maintaining a low herd somatic cell count, it adds. Semen is available direct, costing £11.95/straw (01285-651278, fax 01285-644597).
