Tractor crashes into house and sheds load of sweetcorn

This was the dramatic scene in Chichester on Sunday after a tractor loaded with sweetcorn crashed into a house.

Emergency services were scrambled to the scene after the tractor-trailer hit a house in Selsey Road, Hunston.

No one was injured in the crash, but gas workers had to be called to repair a ruptured gas main. Residents were evacuated as a safety precaution.

Motorists suffered delays on the B2145 Selsey Road for several hours while the pile of sweetcorn and damaged vehicle was removed from the scene.
