Two-by-two big bale stacker makes the piling less painful

THOSE who remember the complexities of the early automated flat-eight conventional bale accumulators – and the relief when a simple, bale-operated mechanical system was developed – will appreciate the latest design from Meijer.

Designed to stack two big square bales, it is the movement of the bales which activates the accumulation and the eventual release of the stack. The first bale drops to the bottom and the second bale is pushed on to it by the action of the emerging third bale. Once the second bale is in position the tailgate is unlocked, the bales slide out and the process starts again.

Designated the Flintstone accumulator, its manufacturer claims it is able to offer models to suit the dimensions of bales produced by most balers. &#42

Two-by-two… The Flintstone accumulator stacks big square bales two high.
