Two Koreas resume fertiliser talks

NORTH and South Korean negotiators are due to meet again today to try to find a compromise solution in talks to provide agricultural fertiliser for the north.

Under the deal, concessions will be made to allow families separated since the Korean war of 1950-53 to be reunited.

The North wants as much as 200,000 tonnes of fertiliser to help restore the countrys largely exhausted soil. The talks stalled yesterday on the details of the exchange deal.
