Two lighter models join Arctic Cat ATV line-up

TWO new ATVs join the Arctic Cat range marketed in the UK by Crawley-based Suzuki GB. First seen as a prototype at this years Highland Show, the Arctic Cat 300 Series 2 x 4 and 4 x 4 models are now in production.

Lighter than the existing Bear-cat 454 ATVs, but sharing the same chassis design, the 300 Series is powered by a 280cc, four-stroke OHC Suzuki air and oil cooled engine.

Transmission comprises 5-speed autoclutch unit with the 2 x 4 having high and low ratios and reverse, and the 4 x 4 fitted with high, low and super-low ratios and reverse.

As with the Bearcats, the manufacturer claims a 1.25m (50in) long wheelbase combines with independent A-arm front and rear suspension units to provide a stable, rough terrain performance.

Other standard features include single lever hydraulic braking, underchassis floor pan protection and electric start with manual back-up.

Price of the Arctic Cat 300 as a 2 x 4 is £3495 and as the 4 x 4, £4150.

Arctic Cat 300 series ATVs are now available in the UK. Made in the States, they are marketed by Suzuki GB.
