Unigate lifts bid for Terranova
UNIGATE has raised its cash offer for Terranova from 125p a share to 150p, making it odds-on to win control of the prepared foods business.
Unigate also revealed that it had secured a promise from Phillips & Drew (P&D), the pension fund manager, to support its new offer.
P&D speaks for 13.1% of Terranova.
Unigate has also made the result virtually a foregone conclusion by raiding the market to acquire a 29.9% stake in Terranova.
