TRI-AG has added the C-Dax Eliminator weed wiper to its range of ATV accessories.
A trailed unit with a working width of 2.35m, it is described as being particularly suitable to the control of bracken and rushes in upland areas.
A key feature is a deep section leading edge, which provides strength across the machines width and protects the wipers. It also bruises the weeds before they get wiped with herbicide, so ensuring the herbicide application area is maximised, says Tri-Ag.
Application efficiency is also increased, as the wiper arms are widely spaced in a chevron pattern across the machines width, allowing the plants to spring up between the wipers and get a second application.
A third application comes from the weeds having to slide across the angle face of the wiper.
A pressurised system ensures each wiping arm remains moist with herbicide, and the Eliminator can be set to four wiping heights by adjusting the rear wheels, which can also be moved to run at the side of the wiper for trailing through narrow gateways.
The Eliminator is compatible with C-Dax 12v ATV mounted sprayers and comes with an electronic pump controller for "hands-free" operation.
Rotowiper weed wipers are now handled in the UK by Rotowiper UK, 8A St Catherines Road, Perth, Scotland PH1 55E, which has bought the Rotowiper Company from Bissett Engineering of New Zealand.
