Well strike again, say GM militants
MILITANT environmentalists have vowed to rip up more genetically modified crops, despite the arrest of five protesters last weekend.
The five members of the anti-GM group, Genetix Snowball, were arrested after tearing up an estimated 200 GM oilseed rape plants on Knightsbridge Farm, near the village of Watlington, Oxon.
Jo Hamilton, one of the protesters, said the group would continue to raid farms once a fortnight until their demands were met for a five-year moratorium on the release of GM crops.
