Wendy 4th wins at south Wales show

THE Valiant Rockie daughter Lliwe Wendy 4th won both the inspection and genetic merit award at the South Wales Holstein Friesian Breeders Club show and sale at Carmarthen.

From D B Thomas, Whitland, Dyfed, she was bought for the days top price of 2000gns by M Thomas, Llantwit Major.

A Mascot son from the Flora family of the Gest herd owned by Messrs Maskell took the bull title and made 1020gns to Messrs Griffiths, Lampeter.

AVERAGES: Cows £1050; heifers £1285 and bulls £989. (Bob Jones-Prytherch and Co).
