Windrower lifts harvest output 50%

JONES Engineering claims its trailed Triple Bed Windrower can increase harvesting output by up to 50% when compared with dedicated root crop lifting machinery.

Requiring 150hp to operate, the machine has its own pto-powered hydraulic system and is built for windrowing potatoes, sugar beet and onions grown in three 1.8m or 2m (72in or 80in) wide beds.

Each bed is lifted and passed through a double web with agitation, and placed on an end-conveyor which positions crop in a central row at the middle of the machine. The crop can then be collected by root crop harvesting machinery.

Folding to 3m, the windrower has a hydraulically driven and steered rear axle shod with 500/60-22.5 tyres. Price is from £45,000. &#42
