Wraps come off baler
NEW from the Krone stable is the Big Pack VFS baler six-model range which is available in both standard and multi-cut versions. Replacing the companys Big Pack balers, changes include use of a new pre-charger system which is claimed to result in even bale density in all crops.
During bale formation, the feeder rake fingers lift the crop up to a pressure plate in the top of the pre-chamber. When this is full the weight of the crop pushing against the pressure plate trips in a secondary cam which locks in the packer finger forcing a wad of material up into the bale chamber where the bale plunger compresses it to form the bale.
In effect, it is a way of ensuring the plunger is always being supplied with a regularly sized wedge of material with the result that the bale is constructed more uniformly.
With a standard pick-up width of 2m and 2.35m an option for the two larger models, all VFS balers can be specified on tandem axles.
Price of the 88 VFS single axle (bale size 80cm x 80cm) is £55,600 and for the 128 VFS tandem axle (120cm x 70cm), £63,500. *
