Zetor unveils its Proxima Plus range at LAMMA

Zetor unveiled its new Proxima Plus range at the event, which despite looking very similar to current Proxima models, Zetor says that these are completely new tractors from front to rear.

According to the firm the new models incorporate 600 new components and 100 new features.

A new range of four cylinder turbocharged intercooled engines extend the power range from 88hp to 109hp and offers a 37% torque backup. The new engines have a rigid block design for higher working loads and to suit front mounted machinery.

All three models share a 16×16 two-stage powershift transmission with electro-hydraulic shift and mechanical shuttling – via a left hand steering mounted column lever – as standard.

Load capacity

New rear axles are claimed to increase load capacity by 25% while the front axle is now a Carraro heavy duty unit with a limited slip diff and wet brakes.

A new colour scheme in the cab along with a number of ergonomic changes makes it a more pleasant working environment says Zetor.

Available from March 2007 the units have an entry price of £19,965 – which includes a two year warranty.
