Butcher’s cattle championship goes to Gavin Scott
The second championship of the day has been decided here at the Royal Highland Winter Fair, with Gavin Scott taking the butcher’s cattle championship with his Limousin cross heifer which weighed in at 620kg.

Taking the reserve championship was the second place heavyweight heifer from the same class as the champion, a Limousin x Limousin x British Blue from Wilson Peters. This one tipped the scales at 605kg.
Meanwhile, the award for the best beast of the opposite sex to the champion went to Neil Slack with his Limousin x Charolais sired heavyweight steer Fernando.
